Transference and Love: A Lacanian Psychoanalysis Camp
The concept of transference is detailed through the clinical structures and Lacan's seminars by way of the theory of discourses.
The first three days proceed within a theoretical and clinical frame; the final two days are devoted to deepening discussions around films and books shared in advance.
The Misunderstanding Between the Sexes
The Psychoanalytic Research Association's 2026 study day took place on 10 May. The programme featured the guest analysts Anita and Luis Izcovich speaking on the misunderstanding between generations and on what takes hold of bodies.
As part of the Conversations on Children and Adolescents with Psychoanalysts series, we spoke with Sezai Halifeoğlu about online gambling addiction.
The video recording of this event — where we had the chance to take up addiction, chance, winning/losing and many other themes — can be found on the YouTube channel of Yapı Kredi Culture & Arts.
Lacan and Psychosis: The Logic of Madness
In the final İzmir meeting of Psikanaliz Sohbetleri this year we turned toward the clinic and took up psychosis — a most important phenomenon — from a psychoanalytic angle.
In psychoanalysis, the various psychopathological manifestations and the structures underlying them are seen as productions of the subject rather than as the subject's deficiencies or disorders. They are treated not as a disorder but as formations that represent an order and have a logic of their own.
Study Day with Ronan Wellebroucke
As part of the Psychoanalytic Research Association's training programme, we hosted Ronan Wellebroucke, a psychoanalyst practising in Paris. İdil Dönmez served as interpreter.
Important topics such as preliminary interviews and work with psychosis were addressed; Ronan also presented a case from his own clinic. Tuba Alkan spoke on jouissance; Oğuzhan Nacak on Lacan's theory of psychosis.
